Yes the Raven is also known as Bran. Branwen meaning White Raven was the daughter of Llyr.
Bran Fendigaid (the Blessed) was the son of the Sea God, Llyr and, maternally, the grandson of Belenos, the Sun God. His name means Raven. Keep smiling. Thanks for sharing...
It is also known that the figure of the "Raven" in celtic myth and lore is associated to "Bran"

The character of Bran retains the quality and significance of ‘Strength’and "Power"

At this point it is quite accepted that these qualities are related "war" and "battle" and thus the raven motif appears.

But curiously, in the alfabet pertaining to the trees and considered of druidical origin, the
letter ‘F’, related to Bran keeps the fourth place, being the Alder tree referred to it. The bird in this case is the "seagull" (faoileán).
Keep on shining!
Peace and light ☼Celtic Spritehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15421009153116403447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4653272143829268711.post-71805672626567965492011-05-19T06:58:09.323-07:002011-05-19T06:58:09.323-07:00This is such a lovely entry, thank you very much. ...This is such a lovely entry, thank you very much.
